The name "Grump" dates back some fifty-five years ago in the City of Charleston, S.C. It was given to me as a nickname. It was said that the only time I would smile was when I was eating. twenty-Five years ago I began to experiment with different styles of Barbecue Sauce. After multiple testing, I developed what is known today as Uncle grump's Barbecue Sauce.
